WISCORS field guide
Start with WisDOT’s account and network information, then verify the settings against your job control.
Get set up
- Request access through the WISCORS web application. Use the connection details supplied after approval, including the account name, address, port and available mountpoints.
- Have your equipment provider match the correction format and receiver configuration. A mountpoint is the named correction stream selected in the rover’s connection settings.
- Arrange separate logins for rovers used simultaneously. Keep the organization’s contact email current.
- The 2023 FAQ describes alignment to NAD83(2011), epoch 2010.00. Check the current station information and your project reference before relying on that description.

If a connection fails
- Verify internet access, approved credentials, address/port and the selected stream.
- Check whether another rover is already using that login. Confirm the account contact information is still valid.
- Use current network information and your equipment provider to distinguish a network issue from a receiver or cellular problem.

Before accepting the points
Use the common control-check and CSV/LandXML handoff checklist. WISCORS corrections do not automatically put an imported design into your job’s WISCRS county grid or establish the required elevation reference.
A connection or fixed solution is not an acceptance test. Compare observations to trusted project control using the project’s tolerances.
